Booker wasn’t able to finish the first half after he exited due to the left hamstring issue. He appeared to sustain the injury midway through the second quarter when he drove to the basket and drew a foul on Otto Porter Jr. He split his free throws, and moments later after missing a triple, he went to the locker room and didn’t return.
Injury Update: Devin Booker (left hamstring) will not return
— Phoenix Suns (@Suns) December 1, 2021
The severity of the injury is still unknown, but it has raised concerns given the fact that Devin Booker was not even able to return to the bench.
Phoenix is expected to run more tests on Booker’s injured hamstring to determine if it’s a serious problem. The Suns, however, will be hoping that it’s only a strain and no tear happened since it will take weeks and even months to recover depending on the severity.
Prior to Tuesday’s game against the Warriors, the Suns were on a roll with 16 straight wins. Of course Booker has been a huge reason for that, as he leads Phoenix in scoring with 23.9 points per outing. He’s also shooting an efficient 45.8 percent from the field and 41.0 percent from deep.
If Booker ends up missing time, the Suns will certainly be in a lot of trouble. After all, it’s not easy to replicate the kind of production and impact Booker has on the Arizona-based franchise.
