Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts get positive update ahead of game vs. Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 16 outlook against the New York Giants took a bad twist when it was announced that head coach Nick Sirianni had tested positive for COVID-19. Well, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles received their Christmas presents on Saturday in the form of a positive update on Sirianni ahead of Sunday’s game against the Giants.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni returned to the facility after clearing the COVID protocols. The head coach will now be pacing the sidelines alongside QB Jalen Hurts when Philadelphia takes on the Giants.

Judging by reports, it sounds like Sirianni was preparing for the possibility that he would miss the Giants game just in case, though it fortunately didn’t come down to that for Hurts and the Eagles.

Sirianni’s presence on the sidelines is good news for Hurts in particular, who got off to a slow start last week against the Washington Football Team but seemed to respond when his head coach seemingly lit a fire under his belly.

Hurts also had his worst game of the season against the Giants, so Sirianni and the second-year pro will certainly be looking for ways to put him in a better position this time around.

Sirianni seems to have found his play calling groove in recent weeks, as the Eagles offense has put up 27-plus points in three of their last four games, with Hurts missing one of those due to an ankle injury.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles will benefit from having head coach Nick Sirianni pacing the sidelines on Sunday against the Giants.
