Nate Diaz accused of ducking Khamzat Chimaev

UFC president Dana White had a simple yet taunting response to Nate Diaz’s recent dig at Khamzat Chimaev.

Nate Diaz has made it known that he doesn’t appreciate being put on same breath as Khamzat Chimaev, the UFC rising star he referred to as a “rookie.”

Responding to Diaz’s bold claim, UFC boss Dana White reckoned that he’s not surprised that most welterweights are now ducking Chimaev and that includes Diaz.

For White, Chimaev is a “straight murdered” inside the octagon and people are starting to realize it at this point.

“Listen man, Khamzat is a straight murderer. He’s a killer,” White said via “He’s an absolute savage. And I don’t blame anybody for not wanting to fight Khamzat Chimaev.”

“Everybody in this business, everybody in this company, is here because they belong here,” he stressed. “There are no real rookies here per se here, there are guys with more experience and some guys with less experience. Khamzat Chimaev is one of those guys that’s, you know, willing to fight anybody and in multiple weight classes. On short notice. If it’s a fight, he’s in.”

Diaz, who is coming off a two-fight losing streak, has insisted that he is “fighting a top five guy ASAP” and he wants the UFC to make it happen as early as January.

Chimaev, on the other hand, has been calling out UFC stars in the hope to land a fight against a big-name fighter. He has been undefeated his entire professional career and has four wins to his name in the UFC.
