Miami gets DeVante Parker boost ahead Giants game

The Miami Dolphins have activated wide receiver DeVante Parker off of injured reserve ahead of their upcoming Week 13 home clash against the New York Giants.

Parker has missed the Dolphins’ last four games due to a nagging hamstring injury. The seventh-year wideout first missed three games earlier in the season because of this notable injury. He did make his return to action in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. Still, he suffered a setback in the week following the contest, which prompted the team to place him on injured reserve.

The seventh-year wideout made his long-awaited return to practice on Wednesday, where he suffered no setbacks regarding his hamstring injury.

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores noted on Friday that Parker was “moving in the right direction.” in regard to his hamstring issue. And now, the Dolphins have opted to make him available for Week 13 by moving off from their injured reserve list.

This move sure will be a pivotal boost for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa — especially as his other notable wideout option in Will Fuller is still on injured reserve due to a hand injury. A one-two wide receiver punch of Parker and Jaylen Waddle could prove to be crucial as the Dolphins head into the stretch run of the season.

Miami is aiming to make it five wins in a row with a home victory over the Giants this week.
