Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter Freedom has one big supporter in his fight for social justice in model girlfriend Emily Sears.
Freedom and his girlfriend went Instagram official recently, with Sears posting a photo of them together in what appears to be a date. It is unknown how the two met, but the Daily Mail noted that Sears has been watching and supporting the Celtics big man in his games in recent months.
Aside from the photo and seemingly confirming their relationship, though, Sears’ caption is pretty strong, too. She called Freedom the “bravest person I know,” indicating her strong support for her partner who has been vocal about various social justice issues.
Emily Sears is a 36-year-old Australian model based in LA. She is best known for her advertising campaign with Carl’s Jr., though she has a rather wide portfolio after representing the likes of Esquire Magazine, Strikeforce MMA, Monster Energy and more.
As for Enes Kanter Freedome, he has made headlines recently for his comments on Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. The Celtics star was particularly critical on LeBron’s silence when it comes to the reported human rights abuses in China–alleging that The King has been mum on issues that could hurt his brand.
While Freedom has received criticisms for his attacks on LeBron, he has certainly a strong support network headed by Sears.
