892 people diagnosed with virus in the State, as North records three more deaths

A further 892 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19, according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.

There are, as of 8am on Monday morning, 333 people in hospital who have tested positive for the virus. There are 64 people in intensive care with Covid-19.

The five-day moving average, according to the HPSC is 1,172.

In Northern Ireland, a further three patients who had previously tested positive for Covid-19 have died in the last 24 hours.

Another 1,080 cases of the virus were also notified by the Department of Health.

On Monday morning, there were 338 Covid-positive patients in hospital, of whom 37 were in intensive care.

A total of 2,533,146 vaccines have been administered. Additional reporting – PA
